Emotions and Science.

 

According to science, matter is anything which occupy space and has mass. But in the world, there are many things which do not satisfies the definition given by science yet they matter a lot.

These things are commonly knows as emotions. Emotions are integrated part of human life, without emotions, no life can be imagined. Emotions such as love, hate, anger, indifference, happiness ,sadness  etc. In the view of science they do not matter. 

But in human life they matter a lot. These emotions make us feel alive, with the help of these emotions, we can convery our thoughts to other.

Now I am a little confused, we all know science applies to all things, so if one thing matters to human life so much how can it be not a matter in view point of science. 

Let us examine our knowledge with some information and facts:

Love ❤: Scientifically it is known as oxytocin , the love hormones which is released when we are in love. 

When we are around with people we love, this hormone is secreted and we feel relaxed and awesome. 

Hate💔: You will be amazed to know that hate hormone is also oxytocin. 

"Oxytocin work in two ways, for e.g if you like one team in game of cricket, you will also like that person who likes the same team, but you will not like that person who likes some other team".

Anger😡: Epinephrine or adrenalin released by medulla of the adrenal glands, surges at the time of panic and emergency. It provokes stress response and brings out the arousal of extreme emotions like anger.

Fear😨: Fear is also caused by Epinephrine.

Happiness 😄: Endorphins – the happiness hormones – that are associated with feeling enchantment. Dopamine, which is produced when we feel satisfied, resulting in feeling happy, excited and stimulated

Sadness 😥: Serotonin is a hormone that affects your mood, appetite and sleep; a lack of sunlight may lead to lower serotonin levels, which is linked to feelings of depression. So we should absorb sunlight to avoid depression and sadness.

So now we know that, emotions are caused by some complex molecules. So by the relation theory, 

IF A=B, B=C therefore A=C, that means molecules are matter, and molecules cause these emotions so therefore emotions are also matter.😊
